Favorite Spring Nail Colors- Essie
Its here! Spring is here! The weather has finally warmed up and stayed warm so I am officially ditching my beloved winter colors (I'm looking at you Angora Cardi) and replacing them with bright springy colors.
Fiji- This was actually the color I was wearing when Nick proposed so it has a near and dear place in my heart. It is definitely a white-ish pink. I always use three coats to really get the color to look saturated. Super gorgeous color if you want bold but neutral.
Spaghetti Strap- I bought this one a few months ago and really like. It is great on its own, it is more of a sheer than a white base. I found it is a great layering color, I use it over other pinks since this has a hint of red in it. Definitely will depend on your skin tone whether or not this looks good on your hands.
Cute as a Button- Alright, this is the springiest of all the colors. I have had this color in my collection for a good five years. It is perfect on fingers and toes. Its a pinkish-coral. Honestly, I think this would be great on every skin tone. I tend to use three coats of this color.
Enuff is Enuff- I have had this color for a long time too. It is usually the shade I keep on my toes all summer. It is an red with a orange in it. I find it looks really nice with my skin tone (light olive). I even like it on my hands. You can def get away with two coats.
Sunday Funday- Love this red. This is a bit more red than Enuff is Enuff but has some orange in there to make it feel more spring/summer than Christmas red. Pretty sure this would look great on everyone.
You can find most of these colors at Target or a Wal-Mart. I find Amazon usually has them on Prime as well. Let me know if you try any of these out!
How long do your essie colors last? Mine, without fail, get really thick within a short period of time rendering them unusable. Is there a trick?
ReplyDeleteI have definitely run into that as well. I started to only buy a few colors and try to use them up. But another option is to buy a nail polish thinner from Sally's http://www.sallybeauty.com/Nail-Polish-Thinner/SBS-163400,default,pd.html Let me know if you try it!
