I have been LOVING this color combination lately.  Violet and lime green screams Spring and I am SO ready for Spring, it means we are that much closer to moving into our house! To make this work appropriate, I swapped the pants out for some black pencil pants from Jcrew and just styled it the same way. Can I make a plug that I got those shoes for $12 from Banana back in November (Holla for 50% off clearance and final sale).

This weekend we went over to our friends' house to watch the UNC game!  This live in the town where Nick and I went to college so it's always nice to go back and see campus and visit some of the restaurants we used to frequent.
There is a small Mexican restaurant chain that I used to love going to so we went there for dinner before heading out to the game.  It's a good thing we didn't plan to eat while watching the game because there were multiple accounts of Nick leaping off the couch in frustration.  Thankfully the Tar Heels pulled off a W.  Meanwhile, I had a belly full of chips and salsa, just the way I like it.

Thanks to Pinterest, I've found my love for knotting my shirts.  With casual skirts, you can go from super cute to super drab if you choose a T shirt with the wrong shape and length.  Quick and easy fix for a baggy/too long T shirt, knot that baby.  Be sure to keep your shirt a little loose, you don't want it to be skin tight, just fitted.

HAPPY KNOTTING!

Nick has had to re-work his wardrobe a bit to blend-in in Charlottesville.  In Atlanta he wore business and here is much more on the business casual with an emphasis on casual.  But, this is Nick's weekend wear <insert eye roll emoji> So I basically feel like I have to step it up and not wear jeans all the time.  But, I could have it the opposite where he owned nothing but stained sweatpants and Adidas slip-ons.  I guess I'll take this ;)

Charlottesville is full of local restaurants with tons of character and great food.  We love this place for brunch.  Nick and I both order a "Croque Madame" and a coke.  We have started making our own brunches (to save money for our house down payment), so we haven't visited Tavern and Grocery for a while but it will be back on our radar after June!

Side note: Does anyone else never zip their purse?  I am pretty sure I inherited this trait from my mom, but I HATE to zip my purse, it is just one extra step for me to get my phone or lip balm.
